Hey Everyone,
Do you find it difficult to keep up with trend? Do you feel left out when you are not following the latest fashion? I’ve asked myself these questions, and after a lot of self-analysis, I don’t think I’ve ever felt “non-trendy” even though I may have not followed the latest and the greatest craze out there. That is because I feel style is something very personal. What suits me may not suit others and vice versa.
Style reflects your attitude and personality. Most importantly one should be comfortable in it. I feel so proud to see modest outfits trending everywhere. Back in the day it used to be a challenge pairing up clothes. Most of them used to be short and tight. Nowadays it is so easy finding a modest outfit that you can easily put together. Chicago’s cold weather can become a blessing in disguise for girls who dress in layers, like me. However, the hot weather is a time where I do feel challenged, but that is when long dresses, palazzos and culottes come into action!
Wearing different types of coats, blazers, jackets and cardigans over jeans and pants has become my hijab-friendly style. They add a touch a class and elegance to any layer you wear inside.
Over a period I’ve realized that no expensive outfit can look good if you can’t carry it well. Wear a simple dress, but with confidence, and you’ll see that it changes the game!
I will be listing a few of my favorite stores below so you can check them out! The apparel is modest, budget-friendly, classic, as well as trendy!
